After a Secret Santa party, 12-year-old Sadie decides that Christmas should be about giving gifts, not just getting them.
SYNOPSIS:
In the sleepy little town of Beaver's Bend, everything has slowed to a crawl after the old sawmill shut down.
12-year-old Sadie is determined to spread Christmas cheer after a school Secret Santa party, pointing out that it's more blessed to give than receive. She isn't afraid to share her thoughts on Christmas gift-giving and ends up on a local events podcast.
Sadie’s widowed mom, Kate, works at the local farm store with Clay (her dead husband's best friend). When Kate's car is damaged, Clay offers to drive her around while the car is repaired. They draw closer together - too close for comfort.
Kate pulls back, becoming distant. Clay thinks it's his fault.
Meanwhile, Sadie's podcast goes viral and catches the attention of a national morning TV show.
When the morning show interviews Kate and Sadie, the town gains national attention and springs back to life.
At the town's annual Christmas On the Square celebration, Sadie receives an award, and Clay announces that the sawmill will reopen.
Then, Clay unexpectedly confesses his feelings for Kate, and the crowd goes wild.
