After the death of her grandmother, a secular Jewish woman inherits her family's failing kosher deli in Hasidic Brooklyn. In order to save the family legacy and honor her grandmother's wishes by opening her heart, she must confront her fears of intimacy, her grief, and her independent life apart from this community, which threatens to undermine her ability to succeed professionally and personally. It is ony through risking her own vulnerability can she succeed, find her life's meaning, and true happiness.
