Hello everyone, my name is Mikel-Jon West. I go by Mike in the real world. I'm a writer, director, and editor. I've been helping people make their own, and have been making my own short films, music videos, animations, features, documentaries, and live event recordings for a little over 15 years. I started as a teenager with those big brick VHS camcorders, and started doing stuff for public access, went to film school, did a few things for big studio backed productions in New Mexico, and I've never stopped doing my own work. Right now, I'm in pre-production for a web-series called "Staying Vigilant" about superheroes in a 12-step program teaching them how to be productive members of society rather than vigilantes. I did a feature film called Left for Dead, which is a throwback to 70's and 80's grindhouse exploitation films about tough girls with guns. Most of my work can be found at www.megaultrastudios.com My goal really is to make fun, exciting, interesting films. It would be incredible if I could make a decent living doing these things. If there's anything at all I can do to help people create, I'd be more than happy to lend a hand. Nice to meet you!
