About Gabriel

I am the Founder of MentorWings.com, an online Arts and Media School with the mission of reestablishing the apprenticeship system on a global scale and eliminating all of the bureaucratic, political, and financial obstacles present in education.

I was trained at the Joe Kubert School in Narrative Art and Animation where drawing 12 hours a day was the norm. After completing school, I soon found work at Heart of Texas Productions as an Animator doing traditional hand-drawn Animation for features films like Space Jam, Quest for Camelot, The King And I, TV commercials, and original animated series.

Since then I have worked in many different fields from Animation to Video Games, Multimedia, Comic books, Illustration, Character design, and Toy Design. Some notable projects include developing new original character designs for the Spyro franchise, A television commercial I animated in Anime style that ran during the Daytona 500 for Coke/NASCAR, The comic book Amazing Gospel that is expected to reach a print run of two million in several different languages, And feature animation of the lead characters in key scenes in the King and I.

I have worked on over 30 Video games, 6 Feature films, 2 comic books, and dozens of various projects in every medium.

My expanded skills include Concept art, Character design, Illustration, 3D modeling, Art Director. I am also an expert in production management and have developed production processes from scratch, integrating teams with different competencies to work as a coherent team. All of my projects have come in on-time and on budget.
