DATING POLY
By Lisa Laureta

GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE:

After having just moved in together, an open-relationship couple tries to stay together while dating apart.

SYNOPSIS:

Dating is hard, especially when you already have a boyfriend. The gender spectrum is getting blurrier and blurrier and that’s just the way Polly likes it. Like their love, Polly’s attraction knows no bounds, and they're lucky enough to have found a partner with the same outlook.

Failed monogamists, Polly and their current primary partner, Aaron, swore they'd never jump into anything serious again. To prevent from getting in too deep, they decided from the get go to keep their relationship open. Wanting the comfort of a committed, loving other half, while maintaining the freedom to be stood up by tinder dates, Polly finds this to be an ideal relationship, most of the time. But now that Polly and Aaron have moved in together, managing their outside romantic and sexual relationships is becoming a trying task. When casual sex turns into emotional connections, an open door policy proves to be more and more of a challenge.

No matter how tough it gets, Polly can always take solace in the fact that while their life may seem to be in disarray most of the time, at least it's not as boring as their two best friends and confidants’; an engaged lesbian couple with adopted cats and a condo in WeHo.
