Growing up in the Detroit area provides a treasure chest of material for the drama writer and I've been writing and creating stories since I learned to write.
I have fifteen finished feature length screenplays, a series, two novels, two documentaries and many published articles.
Ten years with the Detroit Red Wings and 15 years riding with the Detroit Fire Department provided me with a closet full of colorful characters and immense inspiration. I never run out of ideas and I don't get writer's block- at least I haven't yet.
Creating and telling stories is what I was meant to do- I also write a pretty powerful essay.
Just looking for my break or chance- I need the right manager to take the time to read my stuff, but when you're unknown and living in Detroit- all I ever hear is - "I'm sorry we don't read anything unless it was referred to us by someone we know."
I made it to the 2nd round of the Austin in 2010 on a first draft and have a lot of interest in others, but by local people who don't have Hollywood $$.
My docs have about 500,000 views on Youtube and were done with 0 budget.
