About Terence

I first became interested in film/video production back in 2004 as a high school student. Now, it is a passion of mine and I love working in the lighting department.
I own my own light kit. It's nothing fancy but it gets the job done. A 1k fresnel, some redheads, and two 4bank fluorescents, as well some of the necessary light modification and grip gear.
I freelance as a gaffer, but currently I'm working full time as an integrated systems technician. Installing and servicing home security systems is a large percent of my daily work.
I am thinking about joining I.A.T.S.E. and I hope to break into the industry in the lighting department. It would be amazing to work in motion pictures (I just hope filmmaking never ends up being "just a job").
I attended UW-Milwaukee and received a B.F.A. in Film/Video/New Genres. The education was great and I wish I hadn't taken all the opportunities I had for granted. I suppose I would say the student loan debt was worth the experience.
I've produced/directed a few of my own short films and I hope to continue progressing in that area. I've worked on projects of all sizes and genres, from indie features to non-profit testimonials to infomercials and more.
I'm always looking for opportunities to grow in my experience and build new skill sets.
