Sarah Murphy-Katz

Hi folks! I’m Sarah Murphy-Katz. People love to say my whole name - it has a fun rhythm to it. (Try it!) But it’s kind of long, so you can also call me Sarah or SMK. I live in Los Angeles, CA.

I've worked as a creative executive in scripted television, with over 12 years of experience including more than a decade at ABC working on such series as Nashville, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., American Housewife, Last Man Standing, and General Hospital.

My two favorite parts of my job as a Current Programming executive were the creative collaboration with writers and producers on making their series, AND helping to mentor and orient early career folks as they begin their creative careers. So now I help those who have dreams of being successful in Hollywood as a TV writer or creative executive learn what it takes and start on a path towards making their creative career dreams come true.

What does that mean? I work with writers on specific creative projects to develop and enhance their work through my script consultation services, and I also work 1 on 1 with clients to help them:

-Learn what it takes to be successful in the industry
-Hone their creative communication, materials (writers), and discernment (execs)
-Build their creative toolbox
-Design and enact a strategic plan to grow their creative career

Soon I'll be launching a small group coaching experience for those who would like to meet other folks in a similar situation to help build their network and support each other in community.
