Hi Everyone! Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! My name is Katherine and I have been staying busy these past few weeks polishing up my feature film screenplay. I can now say, it is finally complete after two years of hard work. It is a horror/psychological thriller based on a short story I optioned with a huge online fan following. The Title is: The Whistling Trees and the Logline is: A courageous woman enters a haunted forest in order to finally overcome her demons.

About me, I am a California native, actress, writer, and producer. I have written, produced, and starred in two short films. One, titled Amelia's Story, winning fan favorite at the 2017 LA Film Festival, and the other, Behind Her Eyes, is now streaming on Amazon Prime, OpprimeTV, and ShortsTV. It’s that time of year, people. Can I get a hearty “YES!” It’s time for November Write Club. So let’s hunker down. And. Get. It. Done. Whatever “it” is for you. We’ll use the 30 days of November as a personal deadline for whatever project you’re working on; be it a first draft, a rewrite, a TV pilot, a short, a feature, a pitch, whatever. There are no parameters other than what you choose to accomplish within the month of November. We’ll support, inspire and cheer each other on throughout our 30-day endeavors. We’ll encourage each other to reach our individual goals. Please keep in mind: this is not a competition. This is not a win/lose thing. No word count. No page count. No. This exercise is about pushing forward. In the weeks ahead we’ll share our highs and lows within this ongoing thread, and share our progress within the weekly November Write Club check-in blogs every Sunday. Remember participation is key. You must check in and report your progress, and participate by supporting and encouraging others all month long. There’ll be a well-earned “gift” at the end, an extended push forward with whatever step may be next for you. So whaddaya say? You in?

I’m Sasha Gary! I’ve been in LA for 18 years. Venice Beach is my home. I’ve been writing screenplays with my writing partner Megan McClure. We are college film school friends. I’m also an actress, most recently shot a show called Oishi Demon Hunter from the American Dad and King of the Hill producers. I’m an IO West Alumni, I’ve performed standup and musical improv for years!

I love our business and collaborating and meeting new friends to work with.

I have two accents! I grew up here in the states but was transatlantic and spent a great deal of my life in the U.K.

I’m really looking forward to getting my scripts produced and I always write myself in a role. I think creating your own projects is the best way to go!

The Write Club always gives me a nice little kick in the pants. Two goals. 1. Just finished my first screenplay and sent it to a 'first ten' reader. When I get that back, I will work to complete as many suggestions as I can. 2. Started working on book 12 in a series this week. 28 pages done. Should easily make 100 or beyond this month. 3?. If I can work this in, I'd like to do a couple of posts to my journal.
