Ad averlo saputo in tempo avrei partecipato volentieri! Anyway... Buon lavoro and thanks for the add! :)
Hello all, been on here a while but haven't participated as much as I should. I do VFX and other post, for my own films and for clients. My most recent production, digital effects for a new Kendrick Lamar, Ice Cube and George Clinton video, just came out today. Thanks for looking!
Looks great!
Wow, you're incredibly talented! What made you get into VFX?
Thanks! I've always liked to do entertainment stuff, video, animation, art, music, etc. But mostly working on my own, effects allowed me to create new worlds! (and fix the occasional less than perfect shot!)
My typical screenwriting day :) FULL CAST CREW: Starring Simona Calo Screenplay Simona Calo Director Gianni Donvito Original Score Ateneriena Voice Claudia Lupi
This was totally unexpected! I wanna thank my family for being so supportive... lol :) I can't believe I won! yay! :)
Hi Michael, Spotlight was a good movie, but I still think The Revenant deserved to win for Best Picture... anyway my favourite was Brooklyn lol anyway I'm very happy for Leo because it was long overdue... and for Morricone because we are both italian ;)

Expand commentHey Simona: We disagree a bit. I think the best picture actually won this year. Thought the Revenant was terrific (saw it twice. Also saw Spotlight and Bridge of Spies twice each). REVENANT was a director's piece (from what I've read - the true story of Hugo Glass veers away from the movie story by a bunch - he had no Indian wife or son amongst other things), and Innaritu rightly won. Leo was overdue - happy for him (although I still think he should have won the FIRST time he was nominated - for "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?"). SPOTLIGHT was not only beautifully done - but it was about something - and something important - and it told a terrific story. Just read a great article in WRITTEN BY (The WGA magazine) detailing just how much research went into the script - both to make it accurate and entertaining. Spotlight, along with Bridge of Spies and BROOKLYN - were my 3 personal favorites of 2015. As for Morricone - I was shocked that he'd never even been nominated before. I didn't see Hateful 8 - but happy for his win - as long as Quentin doesn't take all the credit for it.
I was shocked too about Morricone, but finally he made it! :) Yes Spotlight has a terrific story, I wish I had written it, but I'm still way too far from that level lol :)
This is the official trailer of a short film/documentary written and directed by Simona Calo based on the true story of the famous italian painter Chiericallo...
17/24 for me. I'm happy. Good luck to my fellow Stage 32 ers. - Divij
18/24 did they already say who won? :) just out of curiosity...
No. They have not announced the winners as yet.
Mad Max and Spotlight really ruined my chances to win this.
