Very challenged to get past the first few pages as it's all so new. Family comedy. Wish I had a writing partner or feedback but I really need to develop the characters more, is my understanding

Hello all. I am in Toronto working in film in the art department and I’m writing on the side. I’m looking for a writing group/partner or at least other people who are writing Scripts to go over stages of writing with.. I’d like to work in a family/comedy/dramedy genre.
