About Michael

I was born in Vineland, NJ, and grow up on a tree farm, with very few neighbors. Like most Italian families, we all lived on essentially the same street. My sisters and I were encouraged to utilize our imaginations daily. We constructed our own ideas of houses out of bamboo, dug enormous ditches to hide in, rode our bikes until the tires went bald, and played baseball well passed sunset. By high school, my backyard became an important piece for my future career, an expansive set for my first adventures in filmmaking.

I attended the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey (now Stockton University) in 2003, and developed my first short films while I was an undergraduate. For my senior thesis, I directed, produced, and starred in my first feature film, Natalie.

Most recently, I managed the TV, radio, and media departments at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. Today, I run my own independent film company, RedJacket Films, and manage the Digital Studio Facilities at Coastal Carolina University.
