Fidel Namisi

Fidel is a Kenyan-born screenwriter, living and working in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a two time winner of the Writers Guild of South Africa award (in 2013 and 2014). He was also ranked amongst the Top 40 Producers To Watch in 2015 by Screen International. Fidel won the 2009 South African Business and Arts Award for Sponsorship of the Arts, and was voted Most Promising Student by his alma mater, the University of the Witwatersrand in 2007. He had an excellent record in his Dramatic Arts degree at the University of the Witwatersrand where he was awarded the Leontine Sagan award, the EJA Loerinnz scholarship and was admitted to the Golden Key Honours Society. He is also a produced playwright.
