Originally from Slovakia Radka is now a resident in the UK based in North West. She graduated with a BA Hons Degree in Photography from Liverpool John Moores University. She exhibited in Slovakia and in the UK.
Her work employs both traditional and digital photography through to documentary, reportage and portraiture genres.
In 2011 Radka was one of 19 students from universities throughout the UK to be shortlisted for the coveted title of ‘Fujifilm Student Photographer of the year for her work entitled ‘sound’.
She is interested in a more personal, in depth photographic study of people and places, exploring both the body and the poetics of space.
Operating in everyday environments, her pictures imbue an uncanny fairy-tale delicacy to contemporary subjects.
Using natural or available light she intends to portray the situation as she experiences it. Her research methodology consists of getting to know her subjects so they develop some trust and better understanding.
Radka is available for commissions from documentary to commercial work.
