Excited about Stage 32, and thinking about the Sundance Film Festival. Who is going?
Hi Marcela. I'm RB, Founder and CEO of Stage 32. This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
RB

What is at stake for this character? Ask what will happen if your character doesn’t get what he/she needs in their life of the play or film? Always keep asking for what you want? It has to be life or death for you. Do you want to be loved, to be able to trust, to not be a loser anymore? Keep asking. What is the essence of the character? Look for key words of the essence that do something to you. When are we seeing this character? EX: a mother who is changing her POV of life and is not going to be a doormat. She is at a point in her life when she has decided to become determined. An example of Need for a character: ■For her to get to know me, the real me. Inspirational. One way to find character: This is you the actor when I am what? When I am sad, when I am lonely when I have just had sex, etc? What is your character’s inner monologue? ■Improv to find that.
