Had to create a listing of all my written and film work for a grant proposal and found a project that I put together in 2010 and have been too busy to pursue. It's about time to seriously think about producing the movie.

It's a complete package for a comedic bank heist movie that utilizes a plan to rob a bank guaranteed to work just once. I verified the plan with the U.S. Marshals, one of my IT clients.

The budget is around $1,5 - 2M, which will include about 5 A-list actors to help guarantee distribution. We calculated the budget from the call sheets that would be used to film the project.

Most of the characters in the trailer were members of the production crew, so we were able to keep the total cost of the production trailer came to about $130 in food! ;-)

Life keeps getting in the way! {chuckle} I wrote the screenplay and we filmed the production trailer in 2010. I have the funding needed to produce the feature film, but so many things are going on in life that I have had to push back production yet again to 2017. There's either going to have to be some cloning going on, or I'm going to have to find another twelve or so hours in the day. Someone told me God invented Time so that everything didn't happen all at once. All I can say is that I think someone is stretching the rules a bit. :-) Glad to see so many here from so many places...good tidings upon you all. WmH

The filming of The Chicago Job has been pushed to 2015. I'm buried under a local project bringing a computer & 3D printer manufacturing plant to Chicago's Englewood community. Good news though, it looks like there's an excellent chance that the budget for the film may come from a single investor! Woohoo!

Discovery tells the story of what happens in the United States of America when the country discovers a secret colony of African Americans living on the backside of the moon since before Neil Armstrong arrived.

Project update: the package for this project will be done by the end of the month; the script is done as are the various budget pieces. We are officially in pre-production, in the hunt for above the line production people and funding.

The Chicago Independent Artists Network will be meeting September 10th, 2013, at the Illinois Center for Broadcasting on State Street just South of the Harold Washington Library at 7PM. Almost everyone I have worked with is a member. Membership is free. The focus of CIAN (find them on Facebook) is to keep creative professionals in Chicago, working in Chicago. I will be there to discuss next year's production of The Chicago Job, the production trailer of which should still be in my reel here.

Next week we plan on getting the bulk of the "package" done and then we're in the hunt for funding. For those in the Chicago area I suggest joining The Chicago Independent Artists Network, meeting every month on the Second Tuesday at 7PM, currently at the Illinois Center For Broadcasting on State Street. Find the CIAN page on Facebook for more information. I suggest joining because we plan to make all pre-production announcements there first. Shooting has been pushed back to late summer 2014 to give us time to fully prepare shooting this independent film. Membership is free and the meetings afford a great opportunity to network with other performance artists and professionals, including making the kind of connections that lead to work. The focus of CIAN is to keep Chicago's working creatives working in Chicago. Additionally the Production Trailer for the film is available for review here and on Vimeo.
