Ruba Zarour is an American/Lebanese actress who found herself in the world of acting
during her early years in college. Her acting and modeling career began in her mid-teens
when she appeared in a number of plays and Lebanese Commercials.
After graduating from High school, Ruba pursued a bachelor Degree in Mass
Communication Arts at “Notre Dame University” in Lebanon specializing in Directing,
Cinematography and Script Writing.
After working for 2 years as a Segment producer at MTV Lebanon, Ruba channeled her
full time attention to her acting training.
At the age of 22, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career in filmmaking and
followed her passion in acting. She enrolled in demanding acting workshops, and trained
with top acting coaches such as “Larry Moss” at the “ELECTRIC LODGE” studio, and
“Howard Fine” at the “HOWARD FINE ACTING STUDIO”. She took ongoing scene study
and improv classes with director/producer “Dan Ireland”. She is currently continuing her
studies at the “IVANNA CHUBBUCK” Studio in Los Angeles.
Ruba holds an American Citizenship and is based between Los Angeles, London, Geneva,
Dubai and Lebanon. She is fluent in English, Arabic and French.
In 2015, Ruba landed her first feature film role in, “CASH FLOW 2” a light comedy where
she plays the role of Maria. Few months after completing the film she was cast as the lead
role in the feature film, “LISTEN” directed by the renowned French-Lebanese Director
Philippe Arictingi. Ruba plays the role of “Rana”, a free spirited young woman who falls in
love with her complete opposite. Philippe had a hard time casting this role in Lebanon,
then reached out to Ruba while she was residing in the United States, where she was cast
for the role over Skype and was then flown to Beirut for a final live audition.
