I didn't get into multimedia via the traditional path. In school I studied zoology and ecology. Ninety percent of what I learned about photography and film was self-directed. At first, it was just a hobby. Sure, an extreme, sometimes obsessive hobby...but a hobby nonetheless. Along the way, I received a gig here or there. Then I won some amateur accolades. Eventually the number of gigs increased. It got to the point where I would spend eight hours at my normal job, only to come home and work well past midnight on freelance jobs, fueled by coffee and pure enjoyment. That's when I realized this stuff was a bit more than just a hobby.
