LOGLINE:

Murder, corruption, sanctioned killings, unethical activities and illegal operations haunt an alcoholic ex-narcotics detective as he prepares for ordination in seminary.  He seeks redemption as he confronts his shadowy past.

SYNOPSIS:

"Redemption" is written along the lines of "Chicago PD", "Serpico", "Prince of the City" and the classic movie, "Donnie Brasco". Its genre is primarily police drama, police corruption and a procedural thriller.

Set in Baltimore during the mid 1970's, beginning in the most corrupt district in the department, Western, this series is about how Michael unethically and illegally uses the law to his advantage, eventually transferring into narcotics and organized crime, living under three fictitious identities for almost five years, justifying killings, losing his personal identity and having three contracts on his life. In the pilot, Michael reflects on the activities and events leading to his transfer undercover that sets up the series.
