An American Spy (2014)
Film (Short, Drama and History) Second Unit Director or Assistant Director Nathan Hale is deep in enemy territory, on a secret mission. While journeying to a certain town, he comes across his former student, Edward, who has run away from the army, due to the pressures of war. Nathan encourages him to continue serving his country, but Edward is still afraid of losing his life. Later, during his mission, a British officer finds Hale out and deceives him, causing him to be captured. Hale faces his hanging with bravery and honor, giving famous, courageous last words. Edward, seeing his sacrifice and dedication to his country, goes back to his regiment, finally willing to sacrifice himself for the good of others.
