Guillermo holds various degrees in screenwriting and directing from Spain FIA-UIMP and attended the prestigious International School of Cinema and TV in Cuba. After relocating to New York, he founded THE FAMILY FILM Productions and produced various independent features, shorts, commercials, and music videos, in addition to providing production services to European companies. As an award-winning director, Guillermo’s notable feature films include THE OTHER SHOE and DE ESPALDAS AL MAR, making him a particularly trusted consultant among independent filmmakers whose projects depend on international funding through soft monies and subsidies.
He is now legally based in Los Angeles, where he has been working for True Cinema in producing the feature film EL TIO SAM (2011) directed by Leonardo Ricagni, shot in East Los Angeles, while developing several projects, including Ricagni’s MOORISH DREAMS to be shot in Spain and Morocco in 2012 and writing LOW LIFE a bitter comedy to be co-produce by Maja Zimmermann, on latin immigration in Los Angeles.
