Ed Johnson has over 20 years of experience in strategic operations, media & communications, sales, marketing, finance, and investments. Ed has hosted two radio programs: Strictly Business and the Delta Business Journal.

Ed represents authors with feature film and television content. Ed’s role with DNP Films is an Executive Producer and Relationship Development. Ed is the Founder/CEO of Bambootility Media, LLC. Bambootility Media is a global marketing & communications firm.

DAVID NIXON
DIRECTOR

Originally from Sydney, Australia, David Nixon has been producing and directing for over 25 years, including feature films such as Making Waves, The Harvest, Facing the Giants, Fireproof, Letters to God, and To Write Love on Her Arms.

His success is due to his ability to create classic, elegant images that evoke emotion and heartfelt response. From high above the earth to deep underwater, from directing children and animals to motion capture on green screen, David’s expertise with all facets of production provides a big picture perspective enabling him to create the absolute best, from start to finish.

Nine years ago, he was called on by Sherwood Baptist Church to produce the highly successful movie, Facing the Giants. By bringing together a small group of Christian technicians and with the volunteer help of the entire church, David was able to give the $80,000 project a “big screen” look, and ultimately garner over $34 million in box office, foreign, and DVD revenue. He then produced Sherwood Pictures’ second feature, Fireproof, the highest grossing independent film of 2008. Recently he has directed the heartfelt tale, Letters to God, and produced the Internet phenomenon, To Write Love on Her Arms.

SANDRA THRIFT PRODUCER/SCREENWRITER
Sandra Thrift has 25 years of experience in the film and video industry as a writer and producer. She started as a broadcast creative director for May Company in Jacksonville, Florida and honed her creative skills in various advertising agencies throughout Maryland and Florida before partnering with David Nixon in 1995 to form DNP Studios.

Her career has produced many award-winning commercials for Walt Disney World and Nickelodeon. In her role, Sandra leads the team in developing the creative message as well as functioning as a managing producer, ensuring the integrity of the creative direction and bringing the project in on time and on budget. Making Waves, Sandra’s first feature film as writer/producer, enjoyed commercial success that continues on DVD. She then wrote Saving Livingston and Letters to God and the critically acclaimed Seven Days in Utopia, starring Robert Duvall. She is currently writing the screenplay for The Rivalry.


PAUL SIRMONS
PRODUCER
Paul Sirmons is an Orlando-based producer with 30 years of industry experience as a production manager, producer, and assistant director, and a 30-year member of the Directors Guild of America. He recently produced Home Run, a $2 million faith-based feature film shot in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He also produced the $3.6 million faith-based feature film To Write Love on Her Arms based on the true story behind the powerful teen movement. Before that, he produced the $3.4 million feature film, Letters to God.
