The Demon Hunters travel back through time investigating the well documented hauntings of the Borley Rectory as they race to save the soul desperately crying for help before she is gone forever.

SYNOPSIS:

Thunder crashed across the heavens.

Lightning flashed across the earth.

The night the Angel came at first.

With almighty bangs, he pounded the door.

Once, twice, three times no more.

He came in the night all dressed in black.

His face a glow beneath his hat.

Trembled they did, the nuns in her care.

As Mother Superior slumped in her chair.

Believing she had taken her last breath.

For this man, she thought, was the Angel of Death?

25th August 2016. Father Shaun and Sister Adriana visit the grave of a Nun, Marie Lairre before entering the church that now stands upon the grounds of the old rectory.

25th August 1943.Travelling back in time, they meet Mr Harry Pricing, famed ghost hunter, digging within the ruins, seeking the bones of a nun he believes is haunting the grounds. He tells of a legend, of a Monk and Nun who fall in love and run away together, only to be caught and punished. He, hung until dead, she, bricked up with the cellar of her nunnery. He goes on to say he doesn’t believe in the accepted legend but another tale entirely, one of a French nun called Marie Lairre who travelled to England to marry one Henry Waldegrave. His manor stood upon the site the Rectory was later built. Killed by Henry in a fit of rage, Marie haunts the place of her murder. Harry Price seeks to discover her restless bones and bury them within consecrated grounds so she may finally rest.

Moving back through time, the pair experience the hauntings first hand, as they seek the source, coming face to face with a Demon. Across the decades, they chase, seeking to banish the Demon from whence it came and free Marie from its clutches until finally they arrive at the time of Possession and the taking of Marie.

The Beginning: Edward, not Henry, meets Marie for the first time, and falls instantly in love. The Parish Priest insists Marie returns with him, to stay at the Nunnery before they are married to preserve their reputations. Adriana travels with Marie, whilst Shaun stays with Edward, who he believes is or will be possessed by the Demon.

Adriana realises Edward is not the danger but the Priest is and sends a note to warn Shaun. Gathering the Mother Superior and the sisters, Adriana stands ready to defend their honour and souls against the Demon, who comes seeking Marie. Together they send the Demon away, only to realise Marie is not amongst them, nor Edward. Shaun and Adriana return to Waldegrave Manor to battle the Demon, both physically and spiritually before casting it into the abyss.

25th August 2016. Returning to their own time, Adriana reads the latest on the Hauntings from the Society of Psychical Research, where the reported sightings are disputed or withdrawn proving they had been successful in altering the fate of Marie Lairre.
