An unemployed moocher carries a comatose patient on his back so she can relive her thrill-seeking adventures in hopes of waking her from her coma.

SYNOPSIS:

January "Jan" Kellen Rand - a 34-year-old, socially inept gamer - finally lands his first job after a car crash cripples his hard-working mother. Coma Companion is an experimental program where caretakers help comatose patients relive parts of their life (i.e. reading their favorite books, visiting their favorite restaurants, walking their favorite parks, etc). Dr. Mike Hershey, the debonair doctor and inventor, heads the experimental program with his portable life support systems. Jan's first assignment is Rachel Stevenson - a former adrenaline junkie who was also in an unrelated car wreck. After Jan nearly shuts the program down with a potentially dangerous incident, he's banned from using any wheelchairs and is forced to carry Rachel on his back instead.
