"FOLKES LIKE US" - half-hour single camera sitcom about the RELATIONSHIP between a working-class BLACK FAMILY whose surname is FOLKES - headed by an out-spoken widowed GRANDFATHER who is raising his three gifted GRANDCHILDREN and their neighbor, an unmarried WHITE MAN whose sexuality is fluid and undefined.

SYNOPSIS:

In the pilot episode, "Enough is Enough," the head of the Folkes household, lovingly referred to as Geepaw, invests his life savings in cryptocurrency on the advice of his neighbor Mr. Cavaletti.

Geepaw strikes it rich but then loses everything almost as quickly, as he takes the entire Folkes family on a rollercoaster ride to an empty pot at the end of a rainbow.

Living beyond one's means and not knowing when enough is enough is the underlying moral dilemma of the episode. Plot B in the pilot revolves around Mr. Cavaletti's fluid and undefined sexuality.
