About Zheng
I’m a storyteller (novelist/screenwriter) , have written 5 novels, 3 of them are published (in English & Chinese) worldwide. To prolong the artistic value of my original work, I personally adopt the books into feature length screenplays. In the process, I realize that I was the best person for the job. The reason being I know the stories inside out: where to trim, where to add, change, and how they should look on screen.
Presently, I have completed 4 feature length screenplays & 2 short film screenplays (genre includes: children's fantasy, paranormal mystery romance, fantasy adventure, real-life drama).
As an Asian-American, I understand Western and Eastern Cultures quite well. Out of personal interest, I have been following the film industry (US & China, two greatest markets in the world) for many years, monitoring and tracking the changes in audiences’ tastes.
My stories are always multi-racial (Asian, African, Caucasian) and multi-cultural. I desire to unite people thru my storytelling, not divide them. The world we are living in is congested with conflicts, greed and constant struggle between good and evil. I'm most satisfied if the audiences can draw strength from my tales, and seek out the beauty in their lives.
I'd love to work alongside of new talent (producer, director, actor etc.) as well as the old, like me, everyone has to start somewhere. Please contact me if you are sincere and want to create wonderful film projects together.
