Saman Yaghmai-Aledavoud

I am a director of photography with over ten years of experience. I have shot numerous narrative and documentary films, music videos, and commercials in both film and HD formats. I have a great passion for my craft and am a collaborator and team leader. I have had the opportunity to work with more than fifteen directors to date, and the list is constantly growing. While I mostly work as a cinematographer, I write and direct as well. My previous film, "$lowdown," has won the Golden Ace Award at the 2011 Las Vegas Film Festival "in recognition of superior filmmaking" and received nominations for the Best Short Film and Best Actor at the 4th Annual Noor Iranian Film Festival. I am currently in the post-production stage of my first feature documentary titled "Alam High School" and the pre-production phase of a narrative feature film titled “Committed.”

I would like to network with directors, producers, and fellow cinematographers. In addition, I would like to connect with camera and Steadicam operators, ACs, gaffers, key grips, dolly grips, and colorists for potential collaboration on future projects.
