A shameless and unrestrained young woman is forced to have a relationship with the father who abandoned her.

SYNOPSIS:

28-year-old Jakia Williams had a hard life growing up. Raised mostly by her grandmother since her mother Andrea stayed in and out of rehab, Jakia's hard exterior makes her unlovable at times.

As a waitress at Dickeys bar, Jakia's life is out of control as she picks up random men for one-night stands and is often late to work.

When Jakia receives a call from the hospital regarding her unconscious, ailing and estranged father Corey, Jakia is taken aback when the hospital advises Jakia that she is responsible for making life changing decisions on her father's behalf. Jakia doesn't want the responsibility of being Corey's "next of kin" especially since he has been absent from her life for more than twenty years. However, since she's his only living relative, Jakia is forced into the role as her father's decision maker and she's not happy about it.

It's not until Jakia has to sort through her father's personal belongings that she uncovers the truth. For years Jakia's mother and grandmother kept Corey away from her while portraying him as a deadbeat dad.

As Jakia starts to form a relationship with her father, her relationship with her mother becomes strained when Jakia uncovers another secret her mother has been harboring for over twenty years.

Jakia becomes a bit more tender and drops the invisible wall as she leans on her on-again off-again beau Quincy for support while dealing with her family drama.

Eventually Jakia reconciles with Andrea after she apologizes to Corey for all the pain she's caused.
