SYNOPSIS:

In the wake of Hurricane Fredrick, HALLIE (15) recruits the help of an impoverished teenager, DUSTIN (16), and his siblings, to save her family, trapped inside their damaged home.

Hallie's feelings for Dustin intensify, despite her father's disapproval.

A tragic death tears Dustin's family apart. Blaming himself, he flees Dauphin Island during a storm, and is believed to be dead. Hallie is left in a state of confusion and makes some wrong choices.

Eight years later when Dustin reappears, Hallie, stuck in an abusive marriage to her high school sweetheart, BRUCE, is torn by her love for him.
