A wealthy literary writer’s wife and child are killed. Shattered, he hits the road, lives as a hobo, trying to escape the pain.  All along, a murderous shadow follows him, created by his own writing.

SYNOPSIS:

"Walk it Off" is a part road movie and a crime drama with touches of a love story. Duncan, a celebrated writer, released a new book. Leona, the head of a top New York crime family, read the book and provided her feedback with a bullet through the book. Duncan's wife and child die in an accident. Detective Sadie investigates. Despondent, Duncan takes to the road as a hobo to walk off the grief. Before he does, he gets three capsules of a form of wolfsbane, a potent poison. Over two years, the dark shadow of Leona's men follows Duncan, catching up at one point, running him over with a car, and thinking him dead. Sadie starts to look into a connection between Leona and Duncan. She also goes after Duncan. Leona's men and Sadie catch up to him at the same time. Sadie helps his getaway. Duncan goes into hiding. But again, Leona's long reach eventually captures Duncan. In the end, two more die, including Leona, and two of Duncan's poisonous wolfsbane capsules are gone.
