I worked as a journalist at the third-largest newspaper in Massachusetts for 25 years before taking a lifeboat to the marketing department at a traditional New England prep school (think "Dead Poets Society"). For the bulk of my professional career I have written some form of published material nearly every day.
I started writing screenplays for pleasure when I became an empty nester (I'm bad at being bored). I wrote two novels before diving into screenwriting. I'm hooked. I'm always working on something. I prefer comedy, but I've also written drama and horror scripts to experience those genres and broaden by scope.
