When an abused teen gets sent to stay for a summer with his dad, who just finished doing time for murder, their shared memories of the night of the killing point to a dark truth about the teen’s mother and stepfather, leading the teen to run away when court-ordered to return to them.

Another great idea Joel, I like the themes of wrongful conviction and justice in this one. I had a go at shortening the logline as well:
Two brothers forced to spend the summer with their ex-convict father realise he may have been framed by their abusive stepfather, and must discover the truth before their stepfather comes to collect them.
