Vanessa Cristancho

My name is Vanessa Cristancho, I was born in sunny Miami Beach, Florida and am 14 years old. I discovered my passion to create beautiful things at age 11, when I had the opportunity to paint with another artist and sell my work at Art Basel. Every painting sold and from that day on I never stopped creating.
In addition to painting, I have a passion for fashion and wish one day to be a famous designer. Through my fashion design I can express my feelings and share my views. With the help of my mother, my biggest supporter, I have launched a collection of t-shirts for teenage girls. Each of my designs has a very significant meaning behind it such as anti-bullying, anti-drugs and more.
I started all of this at an early age in hopes to inspire teens to reach for their dreams no matter what their situation is or what challenges arise. When there is desire in the heart, one should never cease to make their voice heard or cease to set out to accomplish what they love most. Young people are the future of the world - there is incredible talent and wonderful messages that we can show to others.
