About Shawn

After 25 years of telling stories for brands, I realized it was time to start telling stories from my heart. Inspired by my father’s narratives from Vietnam, I began the journey into filmmaking. The documentary, My Father’s Brothers, has earned four Best Documentary Awards, three Audience Choice Awards, one Award Finalist and eight Official Selections in the film festival circuit.

I directed, produced and co-wrote the film. Plus I shot it, designed the motion graphics and key art. My career in advertising and branding, plus my filmmaker friends, helped out immensely.
