Graduated in Dramaturgy at the Theather Academy in Milan, in 2006 Obino signed "The precarious gospel", a film produced on the internet, screened in over 130 cinemas in Italy, and broadcast on Sky. Since then, he has directed various investigative formats for Current TV, LaEffe, Rai and collaborated with various famous Italian journalists, including Federico Rampini and Gad Lerner, for which he has signed the docu-series "Workers", "Riches and Poors "and" The defense of the race ", broadcasted on Rai3 between 2017 and 2018.
For the cinema, Obino made the film “The earth inside” in 2011, and the documentary “Vinicio Capossela – In the land of Coppoloni” in 2016, produced by Feltrinelli and distributed by Nexo Digital.
Since 2015 he has lived between Milan, Rome, and Berlin, where he is working on some international productions, including the documentary "Bare-handed" (selected by Zagreb Dok Pitch Forum 2017, East Dok Platform 2017 (Dok Leipzig Pitch Award), and the Dok Leipzig CoPro Market 2017). The short version of the documentary was previewed online by The Guardian.
Obino is currently curating the post-production of his new documentary "War is Over" in co-production with Nukleus Film by Sinisa Juricic, selected (in development) by Munich Film Fest Pitch Forum 2018 and by East Dok Market 2019, and (currently in sales) by DokLeipzig Film Market 2020, IDFA - Docs for Sale 2020 and Visions du Réel Market 2021.
Since 2020 Obino is developing fictional and documentary projects for Feltrinelli.
