NATHAN DRUM
By Nicholas Trombley

GENRE: Thriller / Suspense
LOGLINE:

When a series of targeted killings begins claiming police officers in a small Georgia town, a hardened FBI agent uncovers a trail of corruption that leads to a devastating truth: the killer isn’t random — he’s the consequence.

SYNOPSIS:

High Concept: Decorated ex-tactical officer hunts down corrupt cops in a rural town.

In the quiet town of Harland, Georgia, two police officers are found dead under circumstances that suggest precision rather than chaos. As the killings continue, the department scrambles to respond, and Chief Mike Peltier brings in FBI agent Jean Howard — a seasoned profiler who stepped away from frontline work after a violent case once followed her home.

Working with local investigator Paul Randall, Jean identifies a disturbing pattern. Radios are deliberately disabled. Crime scenes carry the same carved phrase. What initially appears to be a series of ambushes begins to resemble a calculated dismantling.

The trail leads back to a controversial traffic stop that ended with the death of a young boy — and the quiet burial of the case that followed. When Jean confronts Peltier with evidence of altered reports and institutional protection, it becomes clear the department chose containment over accountability.

The man responsible, Nathan Drum, is not running. He is executing a plan built on patience, observation, and an intimate understanding of how the system shields itself. As the violence escalates, Jean realizes the reckoning unfolding may no longer be preventable — and that stopping it may require exposing truths the town has worked hard to bury.

Nathan Drum is a restrained, morally charged thriller about institutional failure, delayed justice, and the cost of choosing silence when accountability is inconvenient.
