Ever since I was a little child I've loved to write and tell stories. I absolutely love English Literature, to me no one beats Shakespeare, the Bronte Sisters, Bram Stoker, Oscar Wilde, Mary Shelley, William Blake, you name it.
I went to university in 1998 to study Modern Languages and Literature - French and English Studies. I thought I wanted to be on the editing side of the book but it turns out I actually want to write stories. I have been a copywriter of both English and Portuguese (my mother-tongue) for more than 6 years now but I want more than just translate or write what others want me to write. Writing is an Art that shouldn't be limited.
Past January I lost shame and published my first novel, Wolf Soul - Volume I of The Wolf's Howl Trilogy. This is a werewolf story where I mix horror with fantasy. Because of my deep love for wolves, the werewolf is my favorite fantasy creature. Yet, while I kept some elements of the werewolf folklore (full moon, silver bullets, lust for virgin women to name a few) I tired to stay away from the irrational, lustful and bloodthirsty beast that usually portrays the typical werewolf. My werewolves speak. They think. They reason. They love. And they struggle to find out who they really are: human or beast.
Please check on Amazon if you are interested, link provided below.
I am currently in the middle of the second volume, whose title I am not disclosing yet.
I also have a blog where I post all sorts of content, from short stories (some are horror, others not) to poems, reflections to opinions on certain topics. Every full moon of the month I share a werewolf short story.
If you have read it this far, please check it in the links below and give me your thoughts. I'd love to hear (read) what you have to say.
