SYNOPSIS:

Based on the novel of the same name, Get Up and Go tells the story of a Reality TV show that offers contestants the life of their dreams... (think witness protection with perks). The story follows 4 contestants that accepted this offer. Will they succeed in their new lives. Or slip up and lose it all!

They are given total make-overs, new identities and relocated to exotic locations far from home.

Dan: A former NASA engineer that now does taxes, lives with his spendthrift nagging girlfriend, is surprised at his office by Welby, the host of the show. Welby shows Dan the contestant form he once filled out years ago and now tells Dan he has 60 seconds to decide to either stay in his miserable life, or... work at his dream job at NASA, live on a houseboat in Coco Beach, and drive a Ferrari. Of course he says YES (wouldn't YOU?) After several missteps, almost exposing his old life, and a horrible encounter with his ex, Dan rises to the occasion, saves a lost space mission and get the girl of his dreams.

Cynthia: A waitress at a strip club, dating a string of loser boyfriends, and having the worst day of her life, is surprised by Welby at the club. She is offered a position at a famous ad agency, a luxurious penthouse apartment. Outside the club is a horse and carriage ready to whisk her away. But she hesitates, until the crowd at the club begins to chant “Get Up and Go - Get Up and Go!” And so her adventure begins.

Jojo: A con artist on the run from crooked cops and the mob is given the chance to start fresh with a clean slate. But will her past ruin her future?

Elizabeth ‘Buck’ Rodgers: Ex fighter pilot... now a homeless vet on the streets, will once again take to the skies and find redemption. And in the process discover a mysterious link between her family and Welby.

Welby: The aging creator and host of the show, finds he has fallen in love with Cynthia. He tries his best to stay away, but Cynthia's nosy neighbor and a variety of unforeseen circumstances keep pushing them together. And is Get Up and Go truly only a TV show? …. or is there something more going on?

Dozens of good, bad, strange and vibrant characters populate the story.
