Following the death of his reclusive grandfather, a recovering drug addict, his new girlfriend, and two of his childhood friends must face evil after unearthing an occult threat while salvaging his grandfather’s estate.

SYNOPSIS:

Kyle is a 25-year-old recovering heroin addict who has just checked out of rehab after three months. He and his sponsor, 30-year-old Maisie, are headed to his deceased grandfather’s house to meet his friends and go through all of his grandfather’s belongings to take what he wants before the rest goes up for an estate sale.

As the day wears on, frustrations are revealed in the tenuous relationships between Kyle and his friends, Darrick and Steve. Old rivalries pop back up, along with resentment about Kyle’s actions. Along with these old problems, new ones arise: Maisie breaks the news to Kyle in private that, due to their secret relationship, she is now pregnant with his child.

While attempting to rebuild his life and take all of this new information in, Kyle also begins to discover strange objects hidden in the basement of his grandfather’s house: black stone tables, velvet blankets, ceremonial knives, and other objects that lead him to believe his grandfather, Bill, wasn’t as innocent and kindly as he had first suspected.

A supernatural incident involving Darrick and the ashes of Bill brings Bill back to life at Darrick’s expense, and now Bill stalks the halls of the quiet house at night, slowly killing the sleeping friends and planning another dark ritual that will bring him fully back into the world of the living. Kyle struggles with saving his girlfriend and child at the expense of the life of Bill, the man who raised him.
