LITTLE RICKETT

LITTLE RICKETT
By Sarah Harvey

GENRE: Drama, Biography
LOGLINE: Meet the Rickett family, anything but ordinary. A tale of acceptance, survival and conquering life against all odds.

SYNOPSIS:

Set in Liverpool during the 80’s, a sassy 9 yr old, Sarah, questions her gender after dealing with the inequalities between boys and girls and decides to call herself Steven for a year while she figures it all out. She has a love of acting and feels her best when lost in the moment of creation. However her parents are barely keeping it together as they fight to keep their home from bailiffs… and to top it off her super brain brother is being bullied beyond the limits at a school. But Sarah has an “where there’s a will there’s a way attitude”. Imagine Billy Elliot but female driven. It’s a heart warming true tale of survival, pulling together and conquering against all odds. Based on a true story of my actual childhood.
