4 20 year olds have superpowers but don’t know why and as a matter of fact they don’t remember anything before 8 meanwhile a cult has actually gods in it that are more like Cthulhu monsters and the government is after them. It turns out that they were experimented on as children as they gain some of the abilities of the gods as they tried to communicate with them but they told them some prophecy about how humans were going to commit space genocide and the cult leader (which was one of the 5 kids from before the other four being our group of protagonists) is the only one who remembers what the gods say but it contradicts a plan the fbi has for space and it turns out that they were trying to escape to eat the whole human race.
