SYNOPSIS:

Ricardo is a recently retired police colonel. His solid career and extensive experience allow him to face retirement with the satisfaction of having done his job well. However, that uniform that has accompanied him for decades will now only hang in his closet, exposing the question of what his life will be like being only Ricardo.

Solitary and reserved, his only hobby has been painting, an activity in which he allows himself to really express even his darkest side.

This is how he will come across a portrait that will deeply captivate him, inviting him to take it and be a part of his world.

Once the painting is hanging on his wall, he will receive a call from an old colleague who urgently needs to speak to him. But the meeting will never come to pass; Ricardo will discover to his horror that the man has been brutally murdered.

This fact will awaken in Ricardo a terrible doubt, does this call have something to do with a tragic incident in which both were involved almost 30 years ago and that ended with the disappearance of a child?

But soon this doubt will become a certainty when a second corpse appears.

Now he needs to unearth that past and find out what happened to that lost boy before he becomes the next victim.

Ricardo must relive a trauma that he believed was buried in the past, and that will bring him closer and closer to the danger of having to pay the high price of silence.

This is where Simone, Ricardo's new neighbor, will play a key role in his search for the truth. She will be the one who will support and guide Ricardo through the painful paths of his past, perhaps becoming more involved than she should.

On the other hand, Second Lieutenant Antonia Villanueva will be in charge of investigating the crimes, using all her instinct and skill as a detective to find the murderer and to give her career a boost.

What happened to the child? Is it that he has returned to take his revenge? What influence is the painting having on all this? Will Ricardo solve the mystery in time? Will he be able to keep his past a secret and save his?

The answers will be found at the end of this journey with no return, a journey that ends in the sad gaze of a child, The Crying Boy.
