A space mission to planet LZ ten turns into disaster when the crew discover the most powerful creature in the Universe, and they wake it up.

SYNOPSIS:

As the World has rolled around the corner of the Twenty-First Century, computer technology and efficient fuels run a parallel race toward commanding the future. All of this begins to seem insignificant when Major Jared Flemming is brought into a World crisis concerning overwhelming developments on the Planet CR 412 LZ10.

LZ10, which mines the purest Silicon in the Milky Way, is home to The Tahoe Mining Company whose personnel have discovered an uncharted, unknown power source four thousand feet down in the tunnels of the Tahoe Mine.

LZ10 is a two-year journey from Earth and The Tahoe Mining Company has just broadcast a distress signal of four letters. H.E.L.P. This is The Tahoe Signal.

Major Jared Flemming has been brought on board to uncover the mystery of unexplained explosions, many deaths and missing ore crystals from a security, deep-space mining operation which is monitored constantly by the Intelligence Organization of the Free Federation.

The story is not told in straight time but sees Jared both coming and going to LZ10 as time is turned backward and forward throughout. This visual account of present and past time is played out against the larger backdrop of what takes place after Jared and his crew land on LZ10 to begin their investigation. That story pushes forward to the discovery of a fantastic power- source held deep within the planet, and only brought to life by the mining company’s own deep-tunnel mining operation.

What the team discovers is the planet is alive. The silicon is so pure at four-thousand feet that electrical circuits have grown within the structure of the crystal. The crystal has power but no sense until it absorbs the body and mind of one of the crew, Raleigh, and at the point, the creature becomes alive with a sense of itself. Another of the team members, a woman, realizes that this thing must have another point of view besides a man, and she allows the crystal to absorb her body and mind. Now the crystal animal, which is the entire planet, begins to use the electromagnetic power it possesses and begins making demands which cannot be met by the federation on earth. At this point Jared is sent home to explain what happened on the mission.

This screenplay is part one of a Trilogy, with Part One being the only finished script. The end of Part One is also the beginning of Part One as it shows Jared, as an emissary, coming from the Planet LZ10 to Jared’s own world, Earth. Jared has been sent by the planet to tell the earth about what the LZ10 wants in the future and the actions the planet will take if the demands are not met.

“Tahoe Signal” is an action/adventure story, and an award-winning screenplay which will expand the boundaries of imagination and act as the original fabric to be woven into Part Two and Part Three as earth receives the demands and then decides on how to act.

In today's world of 2021, where our own electric grid could be held for ransom, where hackers have already stopped the flow of a major, American pipeline running gas up past five dollars a gallon, this story is the story of what happens to us if we keep going forward toward the energy and electrical abyss and world anarchy fighting overpower.
