Rida Qadeer

Hi, my name is Rida Qadeer. I'm 19 years old and am a sophomore at the University of California San Diego, double majoring in film studies and international business. I first discovered my love for filmmaking in high school, when I made my first film Hey Siri.

What I love most about filmmaking is the process behind it. From taking a lightbulb idea from your head and pinning it on paper, to directing actors to blow life into the characters and piecing it all together bit by bit through editing. All, to tell a story, to deliver an experience, to send a message. Filmmaking allows me to express my creativity and stretch my imagination, to tell that story the way paper and pen could not.


Currently, I am working on some new projects but I am also looking to learn from industry professionals and network with other creators in the form of an internship.
