A broke felon, who longs to regain custody of his son, desperately struggles to find the confidence to propose to his successful goal-oriented girlfriend.

SYNOPSIS:

“New Year’s Eve, Eve,” is a single location film that follows a felon who just moved in with his girlfriend and struggles to cope with not seeing his young son. He wants to propose on New Year’s Eve, and has already bought a small ring, but he’s afraid of messing up her life, is behind on his child support, and fighting with his little brother.

Donovan hasn’t seen his little boy in 5 years. The mother is a drug addict who lied about domestic abuse and had him thrown in jail. He’s been out for 3 years now, trying to work off his child support and find his son. His girlfriend is the only thing keeping him from having a complete mental breakdown and he wants to marry her, but she’s a modern career woman who let him move in because he couldn’t make rent on his apartment.

He spends the day before New Year’s Eve working through his issues, fighting with his brother, hanging out with his mom, and looking for an answer to his problems. His dad died in a car wreck when he was young, and only his memory can help Donovan face his fears and be the man he wants to be.
