Maybe my interest in film and all things visual started with the memories of my Grandad, a hobbyist photographer and videographer, repeatedly bringing along his large camcorder to film me and my sister as children playing around. My Grandad would invite neighbours and family to his exhibitions he would set up at home, bringing everyone together; an occasion everyone would look forward to. To me, film is more than just pictures on a screen. It brings characters to life, tells stories, and brings people from all walks of life together. It is able to connect people and challenge their worldviews.
