SYNOPSIS:

Malory Stone, British blood-hound investigative reporter, on assignment to a New York newspaper, finds herself back home, in exile! Articles that she's written have led to the indictment of a mob boss who has now put a price on her head. Malory’s editor, concerned for her health and welfare, re-assigns her back to England. She is miserable covering the social calendar section, until William Betancourt, an energetic philanthropist, flings her into the tribal and fast-paced world of the English Premier Football Leagues where his team, the Wanderers, is having a record setting season. Malory is swept up by the championship run and William’s charm, but her instincts sense something is wrong. The games are being fixed and she sets out to expose the racketeers before they can harm William and the team’s prospects.
