A well-known technology-focused comedic YouTube creator (think MyTechCEO or Programmers Are Also Human) is looking for a talented, funny, and self-driven writer and production coordinator. We want someone who can help us: Identify interesting headlines and trends within technology and understand the potential for comedyWrite jokes and dialogue that work for a YouTube audienceResearch technology companies and brands to evaluate if their products are good and whether we should work with themCreate visual assets for videos - ie, what screen or video or UI should appear on screen when we are talking about a product or workflow? The perfect candidate: Well-informed about the latest in the technology industryTechnically curious but not a technical writer. You can research engineering terms or industry jargon and come out with a clear story — but don’t need to be able to write codeFunny - for both a technical and general audienceSelf-directed - we can give you an idea and you will come back with a fully formed opinion and tangible next stepsExperienced in writing and producing their own contentHas strong editorial taste Come join a team of creators and filmmakers who are shaping the conversation around technology in and outside the industry. I'm seeking a producer for my first feature, a smartly written and harrowing psychological horror that really has a chance to stand out in a big way, and we're going to shoot it in a national park in ARIZONA THIS SEPTEMBER. 100k budget SECURED and this film can be made with ZERO compromise for this amount. I have thought this through and written accordingly. Requirement for a producer is that you must have had completed one feature before; I need someone who knows how to get into the end zone. Because I don't. (I do have some production experience, and have directed/produced two scenes we shot as teasers for a show I wrote, but I know what I don't know. That's where you come in!) You will be pulling A LOT of weight and absolutely the reason why this project materializes. That's no small thing. If you're a hungry, non-diva professional, and as driven as me and willing to sacrifice to make something worthwhile, we may be a great fit.
