SUPERBOWL SUNDAY! As excited as I am to see the Broncos hopefully CRUSH the Seahawks, I am saddened by our loss today of Philip Seymour Hoffman! Age 46 from heroin overdose. He was one of my favorite actors & I had the great pleasure of meeting him at the CATCHING FIRE Premiere. So sad it was to drugs. RIP Sir! Thank you for inspiring actors like myself to work hard & stay true to the art! #RIP
Jaylen, I couldn't agree more, it's so saddening. Clearly he had demons, and the demon of addiction never truly goes away, even in his case of being sober for 23 years. The world lost an incredibly unique actor, that's for sure.
As I write this (6:27 PST) the Bronco's are not crushing the Seahawks.
And everyone thought these guys were going to forget to return after half time....

Well, there was a CRUSH alright...
Agreed, sad news about Hoffman's passing. Did diminish somewhat my celebrations as a long-serving Seahawks fan.
Such a great talent. I enjoyed his work immensely. So tragic. He's in one of my 10 desert island movies: State and Main. His character was so sweet in that movie. And one of the reasons I picked it was the great ensemble cast he was part of. God... Everything he was in he just shined; so talented. So so bummed. RIP
Jaylen, my brother, great to see you. And thank you for posting this. PSH was simply my favorite actor of that generation. Incredible power as a leading man and remarkable generosity as a supporting player. God...You think about how many terrific characters he played - Lester Bangs, Capote, Brandt (Big Lebowski), Scotty J. - and how he completely disappeared into each one. They don't come more versatile. A huge loss for those who love cinema. A bigger loss for his kids and those who loved him.
So sad...such a loss for us.
