Animation : Shonen spirit by Hadrien Hein

Hadrien Hein

Shonen spirit

Hello, I am a 2D junior animator trying to do his way in the jungle of visual art. I am happy to meet you. If you have advise to help me to follow my way, do not hesitate. I am eager to share inspiration and improve my skills with passionate people! How long have you worked in the artistic field? How did it changed since the beginning of your journey?

Maurice Vaughan

Hi, Hadrien Hein. Welcome to the community. Nice to meet you. Stage 32 has a blog that'll help you navigate the platform and connect with creatives and industry professionals all over the world. Producers, directors, executives, animators, writers, actors, and more. www.stage32.com/blog/how-to-successfully-navigate-the-stage-32-platform-...

And Stage 32 had its monthly Community Open House recently. You can watch the recording here (www.stage32.com/education/products/stage-32-s-august-community-open-house). It's free. It'll also help you navigate Stage 32 and connect with creatives and industry pros.

I started writing short stories in elementary school, and I started writing scripts in high school. I write live-action and Animation scripts. The film industry, TV industry, and Animation industry have changed a lot since I started writing scripts. One thing is it's easier to find resources about writing, Animation, pitching, etc., and it's easier to network because of social media platforms like Stage 32. What about you?

Hadrien Hein

Oh, I see. I felt anxious about social network, but I realised that I had no other choices. It's often very expensive and time-consuming to take part to live events all around the country. So I try my best to enter in this world. Oooh ok. And you find most of your clients on this platform? Thank you for all these informations and your kind message!

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Hadrien Hein. Here's a post I made that could help you with networking/building relationships and social network: www.stage32.com/lounge/anything_goes/Networking-Tips-2

A lot of the resources and events on Stage 32 are free. I suggest joining the Writers' Room. It's not just for screenwriters and TV writers. There's a lot of perks that can help animators. You could sign up for your first month of the Writers' Room free here: www.stage32.com/writers-room/plans-vip

Yeah, I find most of my clients on here, mainly by networking.

Hadrien Hein

Oh I see. That will be pretty useful, I will check all these ressources. Thank you so much

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Hadrien Hein. Great. Hope those resources help and you have success on here! And I'm a Stage 32 Lounge Moderator. If you ever have any questions about Stage 32, let me or another Lounge Moderator know. We have badges on our pictures. Or you could email support@stage32.com.

Keya Hall

Hello Hadrien! Its really great to meet you. I write animation screenplays so I hope we will get to work together someday!

Hadrien Hein

Hello, nice to meet you too!

Cyrus Sales

Hadrien Hein welcome to stage 32. I'm an audio engineer and co-owner of an animation and post production company. I originally started with film and photography, but went back to school for audio engineer then partner with the co-owner for animation. Things have changed a lot since I first got started about 10+ years. It honestly depends on what area of the industry you are looking at to see how much of a change has (or has not) been made. I do wish you the best on your journey! Definitely check out the links Maurice Vaughan shared. Helped me a lot when I first got started.

Alex Olguin

I love shonen, action in animation is absolute art! Welcome Hadrien Hein

Hadrien Hein

Thank you, I hope we could work together!

Bob Harper

I've been in the business for almost three decades, and now it's all about creating your own content and brand, as well as learning a variety of skills. Back in the day, it was just about specializing in a skillset and finding steady work. But, studio greed and AI have kinda destroyed the old way. Good luck!

Hadrien Hein

Oh ok, you mean that we need to be more versatile and creative than the machine, right? Thank you, good luck to everyone

Keya Hall

Welcome!!! I write anime and would love to connect with you.

Hadrien Hein

Oh, that must be very challenging! It's not easyier to write than to draw! Please, tell us more!

Charmane Wedderburn

Hi Hadrien — welcome. One thing I’ve learned over time is that consistency matters more than certainty. The field has changed a lot technologically, but what hasn’t changed is the value of voice, curiosity, and showing up regularly to the work. Staying connected to what excites you creatively helps you navigate the noise and the competition. Wishing you a strong journey ahead.
